About Nadiyno:

The Nadiyno cyber security helpline is a joint initiative of eQualitie and Internews Ukraine. A team of subject experts provide fast and comprehensive advice on digital security questions from the public. Nadiyno was launched in the fall of 2022 and offers free consultations to Ukrainian users, including journalists, human rights defenders, and residents of the temporarily occupied territories (TOT), through popular messengers and online calls. The https://nadiyno.org website is a growing and reliable source of helpful guides, FAQs and step-by-step support for individuals and organizations facing digital security issues.

About the position:

Nadiyno is looking for an experienced and creative Communications Lead to grow the project’s recognition and usage among the Ukrainian public. He/she will play a leading role in raising awareness of Nadiyno’s services, engaging target audiences, and advancing the mission of providing digital security to the people of Ukraine and TOT. In this position, he/she will work closely with Nadiyno’s Team Lead and Tech Lead as well as interfacing with eQualitie and Internews Ukraine’s communication teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Development and implementation of a communication strategy to promote Nadiyno’s services and consultations, and evaluation of the strategy’s effectiveness on a semi-annual basis.
  • Creating and distributing content for various platforms, including social media, websites, media publications, newsletters and press releases (may involve Nadiyno technical experts/tech lead for content consultation).
  • Building and maintaining relationships with media, journalists, and opinion leaders to ensure coverage and implementation of media projects through partnerships and engagement of Nadiyno ambassadors.
  • Ensuring the development and propagation of Nadiyno’s key audience messages through designated communication channels. 
  • Implementation of communication efforts for project events (events, webinars, conferences) related to digital security.
  • Monitoring and analyzing the effectiveness of communication efforts and adjusting audience reach strategies.
  • Interaction with the team lead, tech lead, and project designer to coordinate communication efforts.

Required skills:

  • Minimum 5 years of practical communications experience in civil society initiatives/organizations, private sector or government.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • English language skills – at least upper intermediate.
  • Experience in implementing projects that involved the use of key communication platforms, social media, and analytical tools.
  • Focus on achieving KPIs.
  • Understanding of digital security will be an advantage.
  • Commitment to Nadiyno’s mission and values.

Additional information:

The role entails a 15-month consulting contract, including a 2-month probationary period. The salary offered aligns with the IT market rate and will adjusted according to the applicant’s experience and qualifications.
