Developing community, organizational and individual capacity is central to eQualitie’s mission and we are dedicated to fostering digital resilience in local, vulnerable and marginalized communities across the globe.

As digital surveillance by governments and corporations grows, the need for tools, techniques, and training to protect digital freedoms is more urgent than ever. We believe that while technology often takes the spotlight, its true value lies in how it impacts and improves lives.
With over 200 capacity-building initiatives completed in more than 40 countries, we partner with local organizations to create and implement educational programs that develop local expertise in open-source technologies, digital security, and shutdown preparedness.
Our Capacity Building programs work directly with those on the front lines, advancing local knowledge and skills to protect and inform communities and individuals. This collaboration increases digital sovereignty, while making our technology both empowering and practical in addressing real-world challenges.

Visit websiteOur Approach to Advocacy
Through these efforts, eQualitie embodies a unique form of advocacy. Rather than engaging in traditional lobbying or policy work, we focus on equipping communities with the knowledge and tools they need to protect their digital freedoms. Grounded in the principles of digital sovereignty, we believe all communities should have free or low-cost access to essential tools that ensure a free, informed, and empowered population. This includes the right to access information, communicate without obstruction, and remain free from national or corporate digital control or manipulation.
