eQualitie is seeking an experienced software developer to work within a tight-knit team on peer-to-peer routing and distributed caching software. This involves completing and iterating current products, internal tools and services, ensuring the successful and timely delivery of eQualitie’s products.

The role
Collaborating with our peers, partners and a team of four other engineers, as well as colleagues from the rest of the organization, your duties will include:

  • Participate as a contributing member of the eQualitie technical development team
  • Strive to maintain highest level of professional security and code development practices
  • Actively contribute to your agile team
  • Listen critically and give viable feedback to team members, managers, and outside groups
  • Keep an active document of your work and regularly share work product using eQualitie’s knowledge management system
  • Be on time with product timelines and deliverables
  • Give and take guidance and advice from management staff

You should have

  • Strong software development skills in C++ and Git
  • Experience in network programming and knowledge of the network stack
  • Familiarity with mix networks, distributed filesystems, onion and garlic routing, cryptography

It would be great if you also had

  • DevOps experience w/ Kubernetes or other containerization platforms
  • Experience in developing p2p software, e.g. Bittorrent, IPFS, I2P
  • Excellent development credentials and years of experience working with a variety of technologies
  • Knowledge of Internet censorship techniques and familiarity or interest in pluggable transports
  • A strong desire to work on free and open-source software
