Security policy and strategy

Security policy and strategy is a requirement for survival and continuity for many civil society and media organisations. Threats to the safety of staff, equipment and mission can be mitigated and reduced with a correct strategy and well thought through policy for the organisation. eQuality has particular experience in developing security strategies for groups in repressive and totalitarian regimes.eQuality associates have worked with dozens of local and international organisations to strengthen their operational environment and information storage and exchange practices. We have created strategies for organisations who do field based  research and fact gathering missions to dangerous political climates to reduce the vulnerabitilies of staff and improve communications with headquarters. Our approach will probably differ from what is usually offered by commercial and military organisations who consult on security, as it is built on personal experience and knoweldge gained by working many years in the non-profit and activist circles. We try to develop and introduce solutions that are manageable and realistic for an organisation with limited resources and working in constrained environments to implement.
